    UC Davis Dairy Field Renovation

    After much wear and tear on Dairy Field, UC Davis Campus Recreation has decided to conduct a full renovation. This includes a brand new turf field instead of normal grass, as well as storage facilities alongside the field. Construction is set to begin in Spring 2012.     UC Davis Alumna Headed for 2012 Summer Olympics

    Ugo Eke, a recent UC Davis graduate, has earned a spot on the 2012 Sierra Leone Track and Field Olympic team. She will be competing in the 200 m and 400 m races, and is scheduled to run on August 3. Eke currently holds the UC Davis all-time record in the 400 m dash, as well as three of the top five all-time records in the 4×100 m relay.     On Tuesday, March 6th, the Aggies, seeded fourth in the tournament took on 5th seed Pacific. The women Aggies struggled offensively the first half of the game and created a gap of 13 points, making the score 13-26 going into halftime.     The UC Davis men’s basketball team had a tough weekend facing opponents such as UCSB and Cal Poly. The Aggies fell in both their games losing to UCSB 86-59 and a close loss to Cal Poly with a score of 67-65. The Aggies are 1-19 overall and 0-8 in Big West Conference play.
